SLO District Attorney Wellness Center

We are excited to support our San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office in their Wellness Center Project! 

Their staff is exposed to secondary trauma every day! Secondary trauma is trauma incurred through indirectly experiencing the emotional distress of others. The District Attorney's Office helps victims of criminal cases navigate the justice system, are entrusted with the care and handling of evidence related to homicides, child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault cases and prosecute said cases in court. As you can imagine, the emotional toll in handling these cases is heavy.

By creating a wellness center, it will provide a quiet, calming space where employees can take a moment to recharge, manage stress, practice mindfulness, or simply find emotional support during the workday.

In partnering with the District Attorney's Office, we are accepting financial and material donations on their behalf to support the purchase of wellness equipment and items for their new wellness center. Every donation is tax deductable and will receive a IRS tax compliant receipt for your records.

When completed, the attorney's, investigators, victim witness and other support staff will have the ability to increase their physical, emotional and mental wellness and wellbeing!
